The Folly Boat has been repainted! It now commemorates the first responders and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to help others following Sept. 11, now 20 years ago.

"Live every day like it's 9.12.2001," the famous boat on Folly Road reads.

Local veteran and realtor Elizabeth Baker said she wanted to honor the people who served on the day-and weeks after- the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in 2001.

"I was on active duty at the time overseas and I feel very fortunate and thankful for those who continued to serve and who sacrificed it all for freedom, both on 9/11 and continued years," Baker said.

Baker painted the boat around five years ago as well, and felt it was time to do it again, especially on the 20th anniversary.

This time, she painted with fellow American Legion member Pete Copleston.
