Two therapy dogs at the Medical University of South Carolina exchanged bow-wows on Valentine’s Day.
Jazz and Murph barked "I do" in a wedding ceremony at MUSC’s St. Luke’s Chapel on Friday morning.
Dozens attended the puptials. Other therapy dogs served as Jazz’s bridesmaids, and there was even a real priest there to officiate.
The “wedding” was the prelude to MUSC’s annual Valentine’s Day Pet Therapy parade.
The groom, Murph, spends his time working providing therapeutic services to children and adolescents who have severe behavioral disturbances.
The bride, Jazz, visits patients in the hospital’s ICU units. She was the State of SC’s 2018 Healthcare Hero Award recipient for her major role in assisting a patient out of a coma.
