A Lowcountry woman turned 101 years old on Monday, July 9.
Ms. Jean Boggs celebrated her special day in the Sweetgrass Village in Mount Pleasant.
Most of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends, and neighbors came to celebrate with her.
She is still a dancer and guitarist.
For her birthday, she received a new acoustic guitar, courtesy of a friend and the Guitars for Veterans Project.
Ms. Boggs claims the secret to her longevity is coffee.
