DENVER (STORYFUL) - Denver Zoo welcomed a new lion cub to its pride on July 25.

The cub, whose sex has yet to be determined, was born to mom Neliah and dad Tobias.

According to the zoo, both Neliah and the cub are healthy, active and alert.

“This is Neliah’s second time around as a mom, so we were confident she’d show all the correct behaviors with her new cub,” assistant curator of predators Matt Lenyo said about the cub’s arrival.

“She immediately started grooming and nursing the cub, which is exactly what we hoped she would do," he said.
