North Charleston Police are investigating after a teenager was shot walking along Verde Street early Thursday morning.
The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m., according to NCPD Deputy Chief Scott Deckard.
The 19-year-old shooting victim and a witness told police they were walking in the area when they heard gunshots.
The teen was hit by a bullet as a result of the shooting. Police did not release additional details about the teen's condition.
Police say they have not identified a suspect, and the investigation of the incident is ongoing.
