Men steal $36K engagement ring Georgetown woman left in car, police say

Georgetown Police have arrested two men accused of stealing an engagement ring worth $36,000 a woman reportedly left in a purse inside a vehicle.

Jackson Marsh, 19, and David Anderson, 28, both of Georgetown, are in jail at the Georgetown County Detention Center, charged with breaking into a motor vehicle and grand larceny following their arrest by Georgetown PD.

Police say the two men broke into a car on Poplar Street in Georgetown June 30, taking a pocket book out of the vehicle which contained a woman's engagement ring.

Officers responding located the two suspects at a nearby Circle K convenience store, and arrested both after they were found with the ring.
