MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) - Mount Pleasant Police say they've arrested a man accused of burglarizing a home in broad daylight last week.

Christopher A. Harris, 30, is charged with first degree burglary in connection to the alleged August 3 burglary.

The incident happened in the middle of the afternoon at a residence along the 1200 block of Spotted Owl Drive, police say.

A witness called police, and said they'd spotted a white man running from a home carrying a pillowcase, making his way toward the McDonald's in Oakland Market.

Officers went looking for the man, and report finding him walking toward the Kohl's department store.

Officers say approached the suspect, who took off running across the store's parking lot after a brief conversation.

He was quickly caught and arrested.

Harris remains in jail, despite a magistrate granting him a $75,000 bond.
