Ivo Colucci has been released from jail after a judge set his bond at $50,000 on murder charges in his late wife's shooting death.
Colucci, 80, was arrested April 14 after North Charleston Police say he shot and killed his wife, Doris, inside Colucci's Jewelry Factory on Rivers Avenue.
Police say surveillance video from inside the store the day of Doris Colucci's death shows Ivo Colucci pull a handgun from his pocket and shoot her in the head following an argument.
Colucci's family through an attorney has argued Colucci suffers from dementia, and was not himself the day of the shooting.
Attorneys for a 12-year-old granddaughter of Colucci filed a lawsuit June 6 claiming the girl was in the store, and witnessed the shooting. The girl's family is suing for negligence.
In the lawsuit, the girl's family claims other Colucci family members knew Ivo Colucci suffered from dementia, and was prone to violence, but refused to get him medical treatment or remove him from the store to protect their own inheritance.
Online jail records show Colucci was released from jail June 8.
