South Carolina authorities say an Amber Alert for two children has been canceled. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office says the children have been located safely and the suspect has been taken into custody.
Early Wednesday morning, authorities issued an Amber Alert for three-month-old Majesty Greene and one-year-old Paradyce Greene after their father, 26-year-old Walter Greene, allegedly assaulted their mother and took the children.
Officials report deputies received tips that Greene's vehicle was being driven on Woodruff Road, approaching Hwy 101. Deputies observed the vehicle just before 1 p.m. and followed it until it pulled into a convenience store parking lot. Greene stepped out of the vehicle while the children remained inside and deputies moved in to take him into custody. The children were secured safely.
Greene is facing several charges, according to authorities, and the children have been safely returned to their mother with no reported injuries.
