Charleston folk duo Shovels & Rope have released Predecessors, a joint three LP package including fellow local artists Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent.

Hearst’s Lions and Lambs and Trent's The Winner appear on the album alongside and a third record from Shovels & Rope featuring never-before-released material from the husband-and-wife team's archives.

Lions and Lambs was Hearst's second full-length solo album and was released via Shrimp Records in 2011. The record is part country and part rock and notably features the song Hell's Bells, which was featured on the HBO vampire drama, True Blood. Although it's officially a Hearst solo album, Trent can be heard playing drums, harmonica, piano, and guitar, and singing throughout.

Trent's The Winner was originally released on Shrimp Records in 2010. Although it was his second full-length solo album, Hearst is featured on several tracks. The effort was recorded in a house on John’s Island.

The package is available through Dualtone Records. It can be purchased here.
