The Charleston County Sheriff's Office will be featured in the premiere episode of a new live-action television show about law enforcement and public safety workers.

Premiering Wednesday, June 12, at 9 p.m. on FOX, the new show is called "First Responders Live."

The show will "provide a raw, in-depth look at the brave American heroes, including firefighters, police officers, EMS technicians and first responders, who put their own lives on the line as they race into danger to save others," according to a FOX network press release sent Friday morning.

Weekly episodes will see embedded camera crews broadcasting from several cities across the country, to show a night in the life of first responders.

Emmy Award-winning journalist Josh Elliott will host the show, and provide live analysis and commentary, with help from a team of experts, FOX says.

In addition to the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, the premiere also will spotlight first responders from Texas, Louisiana, Washington and Indiana.
